RE: Help with Flash CS5...
9/19/10 by SithLordDrachJator
I have a book about Flash CS3 and CS4, however, I found it utterly useless to code in CS5 a game for my course. It's a few months late, but honestly I wouldn't mind finishing this project myself, if I can get some REALLY good tutorial links, as when I searched, all the links were for CS4, and I found the codes to be useless to me, as my character just stands there and blinks in his animations.
Yes, I am VERY much an amateur at coding, but I would like as much help as possible in Flash, as I've wanted to code in flash for quite some time.
My current project is kind of a Legend of Zelda side-scrolling Beat em up using *sorry if you're on this site, but I don't remember your name as my hard drive with the data isn't here* edited Megaman Zero sprites, and I'm going to use the regular enemies from A Link to the Past for the side scrolling parts, and maybe a boss or two, but I have absolutely no clue how to code CS5 with a CS3/4 book from my programming course.
*at least I passed the course, cuz the code I DID have WOULD have worked in CS4, but I want this to WORK in CS5, and resubmit it to the teacher.*
Also, any help on what kind of audio formats WORK in CS5 flash would be greatly appreciated, as well as HOW to put them into the game, would also be greatly appreciated, as I'm an aspiring video game developer, I would LOVE to have something as popular as Castle Crashers *I <3 IT!!! Bought it day it came out on 360*.
Attached is my sprite example, which I've "trimmed" to animate properly. *Amongst all of it's other animations, it runs smoothly, however the coding doesn't quite seem to work at all*
about the audo formats, if I recall correctly, the animation sounds are .wav.... the audio is 64 ripped, or .wav format.... I'm aware I could use mp3, but the book wasn't much help at all on how to do this, and I would LOVE to actually finisht this dang GAME!!!!
